National Park Lake Sentarum Indonesian

Sentarum Lake National Park, after so long since graduated from high school a few dozen years ago, finally I had a chance to visit this place. Located in the region that includes seven sub-districts, districts of Batang Lupar, District Badau directly adjacent to neighboring countries Malaysia, Embau district, District Selimbau, Semitau District, District and Sub Bunut Suhaid Downstream has a very important function not only for the upstream even for Kalimantan Kapuas west, as a container for water discharge when the Kapuas river overflowed and as a supplier of water when dry Kapuas river.

The uniqueness and beauty of this national park is not no doubt, with an area of 132,000 ha, this national park and animal biodiversity is incredible. Surface water was so calm, so sometimes able to perfectly reflect the objects are nearby, but in certain weather there will be big waves collide so often take casualties.

From Lanjak, I and my colleagues from the district hired two speedboats with a speed rate of Rp. 250.000, - so it was quite affordable by the contents of your pocket. Not until half an hour we arrive to an island in the middle of the lake, the island will viewnya more remarkable. It's such a beautiful scenery, and a reasonable price to toil through the field which was heavily damaged roads from Putussibau to Lanjak, paid off all tired by nature paintings on display in front of the eye.

In the present and the future of this national park is hope for local communities that inhabit this region, because most of the livelihoods of local residents are fishermen who catch fish traditionally and also use the cage, even the original honey production of local communities assisted the NGO has ripple earth received international certification for its natural qualities, meaning that still use traditional ways of production that is by letting the bees build a nest in the trunk of the trees contained in the area

with the help and supervision of the breeder, the quality is maintained because the bees suck the nectar's natural biodiversity in the area. Not surprisingly, throughout the region there are many villages, the fishing village with houses of permanent or semi-permanent houses are connected by snapping snapping wood-and-Lanting Lanting specifically to keep the fish inside the cage.

When the Indonesian border malaysia doors officially opened, the region is expected to become prime tourist destinations upstream of Kapuas district by involving local community participation in culture and custom. Traffic along the path that connects the northern lake region Sentarum with the district capital, the majority of indigenous communities still maintain communal lifestyle in the long house because it is the spread of settlements is still limited and still maintained its natural
